RF Online Philippines Goes Free-To-Play?

From RF Online Announcement Dated August 9, 2007

" .......When Episode 2 launches on the main worlds on August 28, all remaining Game Time in RF Accounts will automatically be converted to Galactic Credits to allow players to start enjoying the Item Mall. A separate announcement will be made regarding this."

Mmmm. Does this sound like RF Online Philippines is going Free-To-Play on the launching of Episode 2? I think that's the scheme some RF-Gamers are waiting, Free-To-Play with item Mall.

When Korea's RF Online went Free-To-Play last year, a surge in the number of gamers took place. Sounds we should be expecting a game full of lags. Well, I hope RF-Philippines would be ready for the increase of gamers.

2Moons Online Is Now At Open Beta

I am one of the earliest Closed Beta Tester of 2Moons Online way back January 2007. And after almost 7 months of waiting I can now try again one of the most highly anticipated games on earth.

Game Client Download is now available. Open Beta started just last week.

I managed to download the Game Client just last night, and I am starting my game right now.

The game is really awesome. The graphics is really fantastic. I can say very detailed. As one player would say, the graphics of this game is like that of WOW's but with a glow. So imagine that guys and gays, a WOW with a glow! And I can say it is true.

One good point of the graphics is the fight scene. You can see the blood spatter around as you kill the beasts/monsters. An almost- real bloody fighting scene. A little dim though.

The heart-pounding background sound is superb. You can really feel the game.

And, this is Free To Play.

By the way, this game is Rated for 17 years old and over.

Unlike other games where indecent words are not allowed, the in-game chatting for this game is not filtered. You can say anything you want without being penalized by the GM. Say what you want to say. Total Freedom. But of course you will be dealing with other gamers too. Say the magic words like, fu#k or sh&t; and let's see how far your ass will be kicked in the game.

My Visit To The Perfect World

My friend from Level-up Games handed me yesterday the Game Client of Perfect World Online bundled with a big poster (O di ba!). I wasn't able to make it at the Closed Beta Test that is why I am a little late telling you stories about "The Perfect World."

My expectations for this game is very high. Who wouldn't be? Sa title pa lang ng game ay bongga na! So, is Perfect World really a Perfect World? Will I be mystified or hypnotized? or be amazed by this so called "perfect"?

I got the game installed at my PC yesterday. Game patching is very fast so I was able to try the game right away. Mmmm. Really excited now. 'been waiting for this game for months. All I can do is just read forums about this game, the hype and the comments.

With my short journey at "The Perfect World," the question now is would I stay there?


Trying the game for 2 hours, these are some of my observations:

1. The background sound is very dry. No intense background even during fighting scenes. Hay, nakakaantok. The only loud sound you can hear is when the character walks/runs. The running sound is like the shoe tapping dance sound on the late 60's or 70's. Ewan di pa ako napapanganak ng panahong yun.

2. Graphics - Ah oh! Not my type. Well, I am not saying that the graphics is so bad. Di ko lang type. All of us have preference which graphics is acceptable based on our "tastebud." But for me, I don't like this type of graphics.

3. The game is Free-To-Play. Yipee!

4. You can't be lost at Perfect World. The map is user friendly. And there is a guide if you are searching for your NPC or quest master.

5. What I really like in this game is you can have wings to fly. Parang si Alwina sa Mulawin. The other day, I was teasing one of my friends who is really hooked in playing Tantra Online. I would usually tease him, "How come your character have fabulous wings, yet it can't fly?" Well, by flying, you can appreciate the game background, the scenery, the greeness of the mountains, the grass. Haha. Lumalayo na ako.

Guys and gays, this is just my opinion. I would say again I am not an expert gamer nor a good critic. I based what I say from my heart and my taste. Please try this game. Baka ito yung type nyong game.
