AUDITION ONLINE - Care For A Tinikling Step

I am sure that lots of us have tried this cool game. Before it was launched in the Philippines by E-games, the company that brought us RAn oNline and O2 Jam, I already tried this through Audition SEA which is an International Server.

I was excited, when I heard that it will be launched in the Philippines.

In less than a year, this game became popular to Pinoys. New songs are added to the tracks' list. Even songs popularized by bands like Sandwich and Cueshe are added for us to feel the local setting; and to really enjoy this game.

Well, I will feel at home na at home if they will also include Philippine Dance Steps and setting like the Tinikling Dance, or maybe the Pandanggo sa Ilaw. What do you think?

For those who haven't tried this game you can check Game Profile through this site: http://clubaudition.com.ph/

See you there!

I've been playing Audition and I have been suggesting for specified dance styles (like "jobs" in Ragnarok) for those who would like their avatar to dance specifically hiphop, jazz, sexy, avant garde, or those folk dance steps.

I for one am not in favor of the including Philippine dance steps. I don't like bastardizing our culture by incorporating folk steps to foreign beats. (Although I am in favor of including Filipino songs, as long as they are not "baduy.")

Just go to YouTube and search for the clip featuring tinikling being danced to the tune of Ciara's "1-2 Step". You'll see what I mean.

i've been thinking of the same thing lately. makes for more diversity and replay value for the game that way.

very conservative, non-liberal, status quo, and worships so much sacred cows. i don't see change as something you'd create and lead. but heck i can't argue with the fact that phillpine dance steps may not go well with foreign beats, knowing that such steps are exclusive in nature.

as for ciara's 1-2 step, very pop. this game should be an opportunity for songs not featured by media but still has quality and style to be showcased and shown to the world (much like what audition korea or the arcade dance game pump it up is doing). stuff from underground music genres which has their own style yet still good for the game. like korean rap group drunken tiger, an underground hip-hop group, much like styles of beyond, the demigodz and fort minor of the US. even our own underground music should give particular attention. because sticking to pop music and stuff from the media would just be too shallow.
